Editing cells

Add data

  1. Click the blank cell where you want to add data.

  2. Add data into the cell.

  3. When you move to another cell or hit Enter, your data will be automatically added.

Formatting text

You can format your text by changing the format, font size and color, or making it bold or italic.

  1. Select the data that you want to edit.

  2. A toolbar will appear above the selected cell(s).

  3. Now format the text in any way that works best for you. For more format option check the 123 icon.

Align data

There are six types for text alignment:

  1. Select the data that you want to align.

  2. A toolbar will appear above the selected cell(s).

  3. Click the Align option.

  4. A dropdown list will be appear and you will be able to choose one of the offered options for align text.

Create list

You can add data lists to your cell. There are two types: bulleted and numbered.

  1. Select the cell where you want to add a list.

  2. A toolbar will appear above the selected cell(s).

  3. Click the List option.

  4. A dropdown menu will appear, allowing you to choose the type of list.

Add color to cell

To apply color to a cell, follow the steps below

  1. Select the cell(s) you would like to apply color to.

  2. A toolbar will appear above the selected cell(s).

  3. Click on the Fill color option.

  4. Choose a color from the theme or use custom color and paint the cell with your desired color.

Add borders

You can customize borders using the following options from the toolbar:

You can select one or multiple cells at once and apply these styles.

  1. Select the cell(s) you would like to add borders to.

  2. A toolbar will appear above the selected cell(s).

  3. Add borders as previously described.

Merge cells

  1. Select the cells that you would like to merge.

  2. A toolbar will appear above the selected cells.

  3. Click the Merge cells option.

Text clip

Table automatically adjust cell height to display all text, but now you can clip the text to avoid expanding the cell. Select the cell where you want to clip the text and click the Text Clip icon clip-wrap-text. to clip the text.

Indents

Indent decrease will move your text to the left, while Indent increase will move it to the right.

  1. Select the cells that you would like to indent.

  2. Click the Indent decrease or Indent increase option.

Cell description

A tooltip is often used to specify additional information when the user moves the mouse pointer over an element. To add a description, simply click a cell and select the cell description icon table cell description icon. Then, enter the description and hit Done. The information icon will be added to the cell and when you hover the mouse pointer over it, a box with the text you specified will appear.

Math equation

Equations are used to represent relationships between numbers, variables, and operations. You can add math equations to a table using either MathML or LaTeX.

MathML (Mathematical Markup Language) is a markup language based on XML, used to display and structure mathematical expressions in a way that tables and browsers can understand.

LaTeX is a simple text-based format for writing mathematical equations using special commands, which are then rendered into properly formatted math.

To add a math equation to your table, follow these steps:

  1. Select the cells that you would like to add a math equation.

  2. Click on Math equation option and the Insert Equation window will open.

  3. Add your mathematical notation using MathML or LaTeX.

    Example for adding a+b as MathML:

    Example for adding a+b as LaTeX:

    
    $$a + b$$
    

  4. Click the Insert button and see your math equation inside the table.

Accessible header

This toggle button allows you to set the specific cell to be shown a table header cell (

) instead of a regular table cell (

). The Accessible header will help you improve accessibilty on complex tables.

Accessible header is visible only on published tables.
