Add alternative text

Alternative text allows the chart's content to be accessible to those with visual or cognitive disabilities. In other words, it helps people using screen readers understand the content of your chart, and it is the first principle of web accessibility. Alternative text will also be displayed in place of your chart in browsers if the chart fails to load.

  1. In the upper-right corner, click Edit.
  2. Click Additional Content to expand the section.
  3. Type the text in the alternative text field.

Changes are saved automatically, so you will not see a Save button.
